A calligraphic display script originally released in Cyrillic only in 2003, later extended in 2009 to cover Central and Western European Latin characters.
About
Designed by Natalia Vasilyeva, Motiv began as a Cyrillic-only display script intended for advertising and decorative applications. In 2009 the designer revised the spacing, refined the design and added Latin character support for Central and Western European languages. OpenType features include alternates, discretionary ligatures and swashes.
Classification
An original calligraphic script with dynamic, flowing forms, designed for display and advertising use. The organic letterforms and calligraphic construction place it firmly in the script category.
