Ragazza Script specimen from Latinotype

A single-style display script with over 1,000 glyphs, blending ornamental Copperplate tradition with high-contrast modern letterforms through extensive alternates and swashes.

About

Originating as a student project at the University of Buenos Aires around 2006, Ragazza Script developed over several years into a professional-grade display typeface. Its character set exceeds 1,000 glyphs, with swashes, alternates and decorative initial capitals enabling a wide range of compositional combinations. Best suited to headlines and short passages where its expressive personality can be fully exploited.

Classification

A high-contrast formal script with ornamental qualities, drawing on Copperplate calligraphic traditions while incorporating contemporary letterform sensibilities. The extensive alternate glyphs, swashes and initial capitals place it firmly within the expressive display script category.
