Alexandra Korolkova's 2009 oldstyle text serif in 12 styles, featuring true small caps, oldstyle figures and a Cyrillic awarded at the Modern Cyrillic competition.
About
Designed with a deliberately traditional character, Leksa spans six weights from Light to Black, each with a matching italic, and includes both oldstyle and tabular digits alongside true small caps. Its Cyrillic, developed with particular care, won recognition in the Superfamilies category at the Modern Cyrillic competition alongside its sans-serif companion Leksa Sans. The family performs across a wide range of point sizes, making it well suited to book and magazine typography in a classical register.
Classification
A traditional oldstyle text serif with six upright and six italic weights, true small caps, and oldstyle figures. Its classical proportions and Cyrillic design place it firmly in the humanist oldstyle tradition.
