A single-weight display face whose letterforms were physically cut from wood, scanned and vectorised, named after the Russian fairy-tale counterpart to Pinocchio.
About
The letterforms originate from a physical process: characters carved from wood, then scanned and converted to outlines, giving the face an irregular, handmade quality. Uppercase only, it is suited to advertising and poster work where a playful, rustic character is needed. Released by ParaType in 2009.
Classification
A novelty display face with letterforms physically cut from wood, scanned and converted to outlines. The uppercase-only character set and playful, irregular quality place it firmly in the decorative display category.
