A single-weight display face from 1993 with heavy, squared letterforms and distinctive horizontal slot cuts through the counters, echoing Milton Glaser's Baby Teeth.
About
Designed by Alexander Kustov at TypeMarket in 1993, Bebit's most striking feature is the narrow horizontal slits punched through the interior of letters such as B and E, producing a bold, almost mechanical effect. The thick, near-monoline strokes and squared geometry give the face a strong, assertive presence suited to headline use. It is published through ParaType as a single Regular style.
Classification
The specimen shows heavy, squared letterforms with distinctive cut-through horizontal slots in the counters, giving a bold modular appearance. This places it firmly in the display category, with a geometric, decorative character reminiscent of Baby Teeth.
