A reverse-contrast sans-serif by Laura Csocsán, developed through algorithmic extrapolation from initial sketches, available in proportional, semi-mono and mono cuts each with italics and as a variable font.
About
The design began with hand-drawn distortions fed into software and extrapolated mathematically, with the resulting letter shapes revised repeatedly in a dialogue between designer and machine. Broken curves and digitally produced glitches are treated as formal features rather than errors, archived explicitly in the SS01 Stylistic Set of filled-out shapes. The six-style family spans Regular, Semi-Mono and Mono with corresponding italics, covering 120 languages and 831 glyphs.
Classification
A reverse-contrast sans-serif where stroke weight distribution inverts conventional optical logic, developed through algorithmic extrapolation and iterative redrawing. The family extends across proportional, semi-mono and monospace variants, each sharing the same experimental formal vocabulary.
