An offbeat rounded sans by Cyrus Highsmith, quantised to a vertical grid so it reads as irregular yet mechanical.
About
Occupant Tabular pushes letters onto a coarse grid, so some strokes line up across a line and others don't. The rounded stroke endings nod to Morisawa's Shin Maru Go, its counterpart in Japanese. Five weights from Extra Light to Bold have italics, with Latin, Vietnamese, Cyrillic and Greek coverage.
Classification
A rounded sans whose letters are snapped to a coarse vertical grid, so alignments come and go across a line. The deliberate irregularity makes it a display face, though it holds up in short text.
