Tabliq specimen from NoonFont

A single-weight Arabic and Persian display face drawn from handwritten newspaper advertisements, balancing the spontaneity of hand-lettering with the consistency required of digital type.

About

Reza Bohlul studied a broad archive of historical handwritten letterforms to build Tabliq, selecting the most structurally sound specimens as its foundation. Each glyph was then reworked through multiple rounds of refinement, adjusting curves, stroke weight and rhythm to bring the warmth of the source material into line with contemporary type standards. The result is suited to advertising headlines, packaging and branding contexts that call for a vintage, human quality.

Classification

A display typeface drawing directly from handwritten Arabic and Persian advertisement lettering, combining spontaneous calligraphic strokes with refined type design standards. Its bold, informal character places it firmly in the display category with a handwritten subcategory.
