Built on the roots of Nastaliq calligraphy but drawn with a contemporary sensibility, Pesteh is designed for headlines, logotypes and poster work in Arabic, Persian and Kurdish. Its variable font implementation covers weight, slant, dot style and letter rounding, giving designers granular control over tone and rhythm. The slant axis, which adjusts the angle of individual characters, is claimed as a novel feature for Persian typefaces.
