Parsonic
Noir Blanc Rouge · Bastien Sozeau · 2024

A single-weight display serif reviving an 1895 French foundry specimen, offered in regular, italic and backslant styles with a variable version.
About
Drawn from a typeface labelled 'Lettres Ecclésiastiques' in an 1895 S. Berthier & Durey specimen book, Parsonic brings the ornate serifs of 19th-century Parisian type into a contemporary setting. The family ships with small caps, old-style figures, circled and squared glyph sets, and an unusually broad language coverage of 360 languages. A backslant companion adds an unconventional counterpart to the standard italic.
Classification
A display serif revival drawing from a 19th-century French ecclesiastical specimen, characterised by finely crafted, distinctive serifs with an ornate quality that places it firmly in the display category.
