Nipponia · Kazuhiro Yamada

View on Nipponia
sans-serifJapanese rounded gothic kana
NPR Qunado Kn2 specimen from Nipponia

Qunado with its corners softened, a warm rounded kana font in 25 weights.

About

NPR Qunado keeps everything from the square original and rounds it off, which makes the kana gentler and more approachable. Like its sibling it carries no kanji and is built to sit alongside one. Good for children's books, packaging and friendly signage.

Classification

The rounded companion to NPG Qunado: the same kana skeletons and OpenType features with rounded corners and terminals. Kana only, no kanji.
