Diaria Pro
Mint Type · Andriy Konstantynov · 2015

A low-contrast humanist serif designed for newspaper text, with a large x-height, calligraphic counters and Cyrillic support across six weights with italics.
About
Originally developed as a Master's project at EINA Barcelona, Diaria Pro is built for narrow-column reading in print. Its static outer forms keep text stable at small sizes, while calligraphic counters and dynamic serifs introduce humanist warmth without disrupting intercharacter spacing. The family covers Latin and Cyrillic scripts and includes small caps, six sets of figures, ligatures and a range of OpenType features suited to editorial typography.
Classification
A low-contrast serif with a calligraphic influence, inclined contrast axis and dynamic serifs rooted in humanist tradition. The large x-height and static exteriors place it squarely in the newspaper text serif category.
