On a mission to create the world’s biggest index of typefaces from the world’s best type foundries

seriflapidary serif
Corinthe specimen from Milletype Foundry

A seven-weight serif by Romain Marc rooted in ancient Greek stone carving and lapidary inscription, covering Latin and Greek scripts.

About

Corinthe takes its formal cues from the incised letterforms of ancient Greek engravings, translating their characteristic serif construction and curve tension into a contemporary retail typeface. Seven weights from Thin to Bold are available individually or as a variable family. The dual-script coverage of Latin and Greek is a natural extension of the design's classical origins.

Classification

The design draws directly from ancient Greek stone engravings and lapidary inscription traditions, placing it within the inscribed or glyphic serif subcategory. The combination of refined serifs, classical proportions and Greek script support reinforces this classification.
