A humanist sans built on rational lines, with a flared-serif sister, Huma Flare, on the same skeleton.
About
Huma takes its warmth from the pen, borrowing from Roman rustic capitals and 1960s hand lettering such as Georg Hotop's covers for C.H. Beck, then sets it on wide, modern proportions with a high x-height. Huma Flare adds small sharp serifs to the same bones, so the two mix freely in one layout. Seven weights from Thin to Black, all with italics and a variable version, and tested hard at small sizes for running text.
Classification
Humanist sans on a rational skeleton: open, calligraphic shapes with wide proportions and a high x-height. Huma Flare shares the skeleton and adds small, sharp flared serifs, putting it between a humanist sans and a glyphic serif. Some capitals (C, R, Z) take their shapes from Roman rustic capitals.
