A semi-serif family spanning six widths and ten weights with obliques, offering OpenType switches between grotesque and humanist forms for use from extreme display to body text.
About
Developed as a complete redesign of an earlier family called Adoquín, Brickie grew into an independent design with its own character. Six widths from Condensed to Extended, each in ten weights from Hairline to Black with matching slanted cuts, give 120 static fonts plus a variable font. OpenType features toggle between grotesque and humanist alternates, including single-storey 'a' and curved legs, allowing considerable stylistic flexibility within a single family.
Classification
Primarily grotesque in structure with optional humanist alternates and semi-serif details accessible via OpenType features, spanning six widths and ten weights with obliques. The semi-serif classification reflects its ability to toggle between grotesque and humanist registers.
