Developed for Zentralverlag GmbH & Co. KG, the family traces its origins to a typeface produced by the Berlin foundry Emil Gursch between 1910 and 1920. Dirk Heider and Fabian Harb carried it into the digital age while preserving its Golden Twenties flavour, including a period German-s ligature and stylistic alternates for the bold weight. Three weights – Zart, Halbfett and fett – offer a balanced range of contrast suited to both editorial and branding applications.
