Snaga Uni specimen from Lettersoup

A unicase sans-serif rooted in Bulgarian typographic tradition, with three optical subfamilies covering Latin, Cyrillic and revived Greek uncial letterforms across ten weights.

About

Developed through research into 20th-century Bulgarian lettering and type sketches, Snaga Uni integrates squared and round Cyrillic forms into a unicase structure that sidesteps the usual uppercase/lowercase tension in Cyrillic. The Greek complement revives disused uncial letterforms with input from consultant Irene Vlachou, while extensive stylistic sets from user feedback turn the family into a flexible tool for covers, posters and logotype work. Three subfamilies — Text, Display and Banner — address different scale requirements across the same ten weights.

Classification

A unicase sans-serif drawing on Bulgarian typographic tradition, blending squared and round Cyrillic letterforms with revived Greek uncial forms. Its unicase construction and stylistic alternates position it firmly in the display category.
