Santis
Latinotype · Enrique Hernández · 2013

A Didot-based serif family in four styles with an extensive glyph set of 1,017 characters, including swash alternates, ligatures and ornaments aimed at fashion and editorial use.
About
Designed by Enrique Hernández with technical support from Daniel Hernández, Santis takes the high-contrast Didone model as its starting point and extends it with decorative swash characters that remain legible in running text. The family spans Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic, with OpenType features unlocking alternate characters, ornamental ligatures and numerals. Its intended audience is logos, branding, magazines and fashion-oriented design work.
Classification
Santis is explicitly described as Didot-based, placing it firmly in the Didone category with high stroke contrast and refined vertical stress characteristic of that tradition.
