Los Lana Pro specimen from Latinotype

A single-style handmade display face by Luciano Vergara in which every character has been drawn individually, producing irregular strokes and angles that give it a distinctly Andean, artisanal quality.

About

Where most display typefaces rely on modular construction, Los Lana Pro assigns each glyph its own unique form, with straight lines meeting at varied angles to create an impression of curves without any true curves present. Broken lines and irregular shapes reinforce the handcrafted character, lending it a rustic, personal feel suited to branding, packaging and editorial work at large sizes. The family includes ligatures, two sets of alternate characters and titling caps, with coverage spanning Latin, Central European, Baltic, Turkish and Pan Africa Latin scripts.

Classification

An individually drawn display face with irregular, angled strokes and no modular structure, placing it firmly in the handmade display category rather than any conventional script or serif tradition.
