MegaMegaTypeType
A hand-painted folk display face converted from handset type to OpenType, offering over 300 glyphs with ligatures and stylistic alternates evoking Appalachian signage.
About
YWFT Filbert draws on the primitive calligraphic tradition of hand-painted rural signage, deliberately preserving the inconsistency and charm of the source material. The OpenType version ships with 300-plus glyphs, including ligatures and stylistic alternates for both upper and lowercase. Its irregular, rough character suits poster work, folk-themed branding and any setting where a hand-lettered, back-country quality is required.
Classification
A hand-painted, primitive calligraphic display face inspired by folk typography and hand-lettered signage. Its rough, irregular character places it firmly in the display category rather than script, as it reads more like painted lettering than cursive writing.
