Grobek specimen from Latinotype

A serif family by Enrique Hernández drawing on Garamond and American Typewriter, offered in eight weights with matching italics across two subfamilies with differing personalities.

About

Grobek carries diagonal stress and soft teardrop terminals rooted in 15th-century humanist models, with the Alt subfamily introducing alternate letterforms for a more expressive character. At 32 styles total, the family covers short text, branding and editorial applications across more than 200 Latin-based languages. The two subfamilies share the same weight range, allowing designers to mix registers within a single project.

Classification

A serif with diagonal stress and teardrop terminals, inspired by Garamond and American Typewriter alongside 15th-century models. The combination of old-style stress with contemporary proportions places it loosely in the transitional zone.
