Elemental Sans Pro
Latinotype · Francisco Galvez · 2001

A Chilean humanist sans-serif with calligraphic roots, originally designed in 1997 and overhauled for Chile's bicentenary in 2010 with OpenType features and improved italics.
About
Designed by Francisco Galvez, Elemental Sans Pro draws on calligraphic outlines to give its letterforms an organic warmth uncommon in purely geometric or grotesque sans-serifs. The family spans four weights from Light to Extrabold, each accompanied by an italic and small capitals, split across two subfamilies. The 2010 redesign brought OpenType refinements and a more polished italic, considerably strengthening the family's suitability for text use.
Classification
A humanist sans-serif with calligraphic influences, blending organic stroke modulation with upright letterforms. The hybrid calligraphic outlines place it firmly in the humanist sans tradition.
