Brocha began as sketches made during a 2011 visit to Easter Island and was formally released in 2015 after years of refinement by Chilean designer Jorge Cisterna. The family splits into two subfamilies, Basic and Alt, each running eight weights from Hair to Black with matching italics. The Alt subfamily offers more varied letterforms intended for art directors seeking additional typographic diversity within the same design system.
