Andes Italic specimen from Latinotype

A neo-humanist display sans by Daniel Hernández with mixed terminals and italic-specific alternate glyphs across ten weights.

About

Andes Italic is the italic counterpart to Andes, sharing the same neo-humanist foundation and mixed terminal language that gives the family a distinctive hybrid character. Ten weights run from UltraLight to Black, each maintaining a consistent x-height, and the family also includes a condensed version. Additional italic alternates for a, y, z and g add expressive differentiation when used to emphasise text.

Classification

A neo-humanist display sans with mixed terminal styles and additional italic-specific alternate glyphs, giving it a hybrid quality between conventional and italic letterforms.
