Designed by Daniel Hernández, Andes draws on neo-humanist principles while departing from convention through its treatment of terminals, which combine different styles across the letterforms. The family runs from UltraLight to Black across ten upright weights and ten italics, with a condensed version also available. The italic includes alternate glyphs for a, y, z and g, and the design shares several features with Hernández's earlier Merced. Suited to retail, editorial and logotype applications.
