Omsin
Katatrad · Thanarat Vachiruckul · 2017

A condensed Thai and Latin typeface from 2017 that uses loop terminals and ink trap detailing to maintain legibility from body text to headline sizes.
About
Designed by Thanarat Vachiruckul, Omsin takes its name from the Thai word for 'saving', reflecting its space-efficient condensed proportions. Ink trap-inspired openings in the negative space aid legibility at small sizes without sacrificing the warm, hand-influenced quality of its loop terminals. Available in Light and Regular, it covers both Thai and Latin scripts.
Classification
A condensed Thai and Latin typeface with loop terminals and ink trap detailing, placing it within the humanist sans tradition adapted for Thai script conventions.
