Operand takes its formal cues from the clean, unornamented letterforms associated with Swedish funkis architecture of the 1930s, translating their geometric discipline into a type family of 10 styles. The near-monolinear stroke weight and simple construction give it a restrained, rational character suited to contexts where clarity and understatement are priorities. Alternate single-storey 'a' and 'g' glyphs offer additional geometric rigour when required.
