Stravinsky sits in the contested territory between Didone and Grotesque, taking the high-contrast stress and tightly-set counters of 18th-century Didot and pressing them into a sans-serif structure. Designed by Ilya Naumoff at Interval Type in Paris, it spans six weights from Extralight to Extrabold and supports both extended Latin and Cyrillic. Stylistic alternates let designers toggle Didot serifs on or off, giving the face a second life as something closer to a classical high-contrast display serif.

Grafts Didot-style high vertical contrast and squarish counters onto a Grotesque sans-serif skeleton. The result is a hybrid display face with no serifs in the conventional sense but strong optical tension drawn from the Didone tradition.
