A slightly condensed humanist sans from ITF co-founder Satya Rajpurohit, built for text use with a tall x-height, open counters and growing stroke contrast across five weights.
About
Litmus uses horizontal and vertical terminals rather than diagonal cuts, giving it a distinctive rhythm at text sizes. The Light weight is monolinear, but contrast increases progressively through to Bold, where it becomes quite pronounced. A double-storey 'a' and single-storey 'g' anchor the design in the humanist tradition, while ascenders that clear the cap height and slightly shortened numerals add vertical texture to running text.
Classification
A slightly condensed humanist sans serif with horizontal and vertical terminals rather than diagonal cuts, a tall x-height, and increasing stroke contrast from Light to Bold – characteristic of the humanist sans tradition.
