A rustic, hand-drawn display face drawn by S. E. Norton for Photo-Lettering in the late 1940s to early 1950s, digitised by Erik van Blokland in 2011 from the original film matrix.
About
Originally drawn for Photo-Lettering, Slapstick carries an organic, sylvan character suited to country fairs, farm stands and craft branding. The glyph set is deliberately limited to the characters from the original film matrix, preserving the authenticity of the source material. Erik van Blokland's 2011 digitisation keeps the good-natured irregularity of Norton's hand intact.
