A seven-face collection of hand-lettered horror display fonts drawn from B-movie title sequences, Misfits album art and Aurora monster model kits, completed in ink on illustration board by David Coulson.
About
Each face in the collection takes a distinct approach to the horror genre: from gothic architectural letterforms to voodoo-inflected decorative styles, all traced back to cultural touchstones including Creature Double Feature broadcasts and Lon Chaney film ephemera. The original release came packaged with one of the first commercial paintings by House artist Adam Cruz, a portrait of Chaney's Phantom approved by the actor's grandson Ron Chaney. The fonts suit everything from event titling to product packaging where a deliberately theatrical hand is required.
Classification
A collection of hand-lettered display faces rooted in B-horror movie title sequences and mid-century monster culture ephemera. Each variant presents distinct stylistic interpretations of the genre, from gothic drip lettering to voodoo-inflected decorative forms, making these unmistakably display-only typefaces.
