A collection of 18 display fonts modelled on the hand-lettered and photocopied typography of American hardcore punk flyers, bundled with 22 clip art images and a compilation CD.
About
Each font in the set takes its name from hardcore punk vocabulary -- Crucified, Reject, Vandalism, Malfunction -- and reflects the rough, urgent lettering styles found on show flyers from bands such as Cro-Mags, Circle Jerks and Bad Brains. The 18 styles range from degraded stencil cuts to jagged blackletter-adjacent forms, sharing a deliberately raw, lo-fi character. The package was sold on a multi-session CD and targets both genuine scene participants and commercial uses requiring an aggressive, distressed aesthetic.
Classification
A collection of 18 distinct display typefaces drawing directly from hardcore punk and DIY flyer aesthetics, featuring distressed, hand-lettered and grunge treatments characteristic of the genre.
