A nine-font collection of punk-inspired distressed display faces rooted in the mid-1990s grunge aesthetic that House Industries helped bring into mainstream design via MTV.
About
Born from Jeremy Dean's original Crackhouse font, Bad Neighborhood grew into a collection of nine distinct distressed faces, each carrying a degree of photocopy degradation and deconstructed letterforms characteristic of the era. The collection responds directly to 1990s design culture, when grunge typography moved from underground print to broadcast identities. Extended Latin character sets with Western European accents are included across most faces.
Classification
A collection of nine punk rock-inspired distressed display faces with heavy degradation, photocopier roughening and deconstructivist aesthetics typical of mid-1990s grunge typography.
