About
Drawing on the idiosyncratic grotesk letterforms that circulated through Bauhaus and De Stijl movements, GT Era deliberately resists neutrality in favour of character and recognition. The family splits into Display and Text optical sizes, each running from Thin to Black with obliques throughout, giving 28 styles in total. An alternate double-storey g is available via OpenType, and the Latin coverage spans several hundred languages.
Classification
GT Era draws explicitly from pre-modernist grotesk typefaces and their use in modernist movements such as Bauhaus and De Stijl, placing it firmly in the early grotesque tradition with a warm, idiosyncratic character.
