A six-weight display serif inspired by Gilded Age print ephemera, packed with stylistic alternates, titling capitals, contextual ligatures and comprehensive language support including Vietnamese.
About
Named after the designer's grandfather, a dairy farmer for over 60 years, Herschel channels the elaborate aesthetic of late 19th-century type with bold quirks and eccentric detailing across six whimsically named weights. The family includes titling and drop capitals with multiple contextual ligatures, copious stylistic alternates, lining and oldstyle figures in both proportional and tabular cuts, and a set of unique dingbats. Extended Latin coverage encompasses Vietnamese and a broad range of accented characters.
Classification
