Ogg translates the pen-drawn lettering of Oscar Ogg the calligrapher into a typeface, retaining the extreme stroke contrast, concave stem heads and expressive proportions of the source material while widening counters for screen and print legibility. The italic is a full calligraphic script with extravagant swash capitals and swooping ascenders, making it feel like a separate but complementary design. Despite its small family of just one Roman and one Italic, it has proven a versatile choice across poster design, editorial work and luxury branding.
