Acid Grotesk Soft specimen from FOLCH

A rounded-terminal companion to Acid Grotesk — nine weights from Ultra Light to Black with softened stroke endings that make it warmer than its parent without losing structural discipline.

About

Acid Grotesk Soft takes the proportions and rhythm of FOLCH's Acid Grotesk and applies consistently softened terminals throughout, producing a face that reads as approachable rather than assertive. Nine weights run from Ultra Light to Black with no italic counterparts, so it works best in branding and display contexts where the warmth of rounded endings is the point. Designed by Pablo Fernández de la Fuente at FOLCH's Barcelona studio, it was in development through 2023 and became available for retail licensing in late 2024.

Classification

Rounded-terminal variant of Acid Grotesk. Shares the parent's proportions, x-height and structural rhythm but applies soft stroke endings throughout, shifting the overall register from assertive to approachable. No italics in the retail release; nine weights cover the full range from Ultra Light to Black.
