displayArt Deco sansitalic
Bourget specimen from Fincker Font Cuisine

A two-style display sans inspired by Art Deco typography of the 1920s and 1930s, distinguished by a thin decorative line threaded through every letterform.

About

Bourget's defining feature is a continuous thin line that passes through each character, giving it a layered, incised quality rooted in the geometric ornamentalism of interwar graphic design. The family comprises Regular and Italic cuts with extensive OpenType features including oldstyle figures, discretionary ligatures and four stylistic sets offering alternate forms for key letters. It is positioned for branding, packaging, signage and editorial display use.

Classification

A display sans-serif with Art Deco roots, characterised by a distinctive thin decorative line running through each letterform. Its geometric construction and ornamental stroke detail place it firmly in the display category rather than a functional sans tradition.
