A soft, wavering bold display face with ball terminals and flicked strokes, shown by its foundry with texts on weaving.
About
EXT Torchon has the loose swing of pen lettering drawn with a rounded tool: stems bow and flick, and terminals end in soft blobs. It holds together surprisingly well in a paragraph about Jacquard looms as well as in big words, though it is happiest at headline sizes. Express Type sell it as a beta single cut, licensed by email at a flat rate.
Classification
A monoline display face with swelling strokes, ball terminals and flicked, wavering entries and exits. It borrows its rhythm from pen lettering but keeps the soft, rounded build of a sign-painter's face, so it reads as an expressive display rather than a script.
