Buzz
Eliott Grunewald · Quentin Coulombier

A single-weight headline typeface rooted in mid-20th-century American wood type, with deliberately imperfect stroke weights that evoke the texture of carved and printed letterforms.
About
Designed by Quentin Coulombier, Buzz draws from archetypal American wood typefaces found on newspaper front pages and intentionally omits certain optical corrections, producing subtle weight variations that feel handcrafted rather than digitally refined. Despite its very heavy mass, rounded curves soften the overall tone, creating tension between visual impact and a playful, approachable character. The extended Latin character set covers a broad range of European and African languages.
