MegaMegaTypeType
A condensed slab serif family of 16 styles spanning Thin to Black with matching italics, designed for display use with a vintage, sport-inflected character.
About
Birdwood draws on 1970s graphic conventions, favouring compact letterforms, sturdy slab serifs and confident weight contrast across eight weights. Designed primarily for headlines, branding and packaging, its condensed proportions make it practical wherever a powerful typographic presence is needed in limited horizontal space. The family also holds up in short text blocks, making it adaptable across editorial layouts, product labels and storefront signage.
Classification
A condensed slab serif with strong, sturdy serifs and a compact structure aimed at display use. The family's uniform stroke weight and blocky serifs place it firmly in the Egyptian/slab tradition, while the condensed proportions and vintage character separate it from neutral workhorse slabs.
