Hypertext Variable

A variable font packaging the entire 00 Hypertext collection – proportional and monospaced, text and display, across six weights with italics – into a single file with four interpolation axes.
About
Drawing from mid-century Swiss modernism and the default office typography of the late 1990s and early 2000s, the family starts from a deliberately neutral foundation and becomes progressively more expressive toward display sizes, black weights and monospaced settings. Four axes – monospace, optical size, weight and italic – allow continuous interpolation across all 48 styles. The collection spans from highly legible text use to experimental display applications within a single typeface system.
Classification
A clean neo-grotesque in the Swiss modernist tradition, drawing explicitly from Helvetica and Arial. The family spans proportional to monospaced and small text to display via variable axes, but the underlying letterforms are rooted in mid-century neutral sans-serif convention.
