DB Fibre
Double B Type · Johan Debit, Tanguy Dortu

A modular display typeface built on a strict 3×3 grid from a library of just 18 repeating elements, originally commissioned for the Web3 gaming platform Yield Guild Games.
About
Every character in DB Fibre is assembled from 18 discrete components arranged on a 3×3 grid, giving the family a monochrome, system-like consistency that reads as deliberately brutal rather than accidental. The single Regular weight covers an extensive Latin character set including diacritics for Central and Eastern European languages, plus a handful of discretionary ligatures. Its origins in a global gaming brand are legible in the uncompromising, screen-native logic of its construction.
Classification
Each character is constructed from a library of 18 elements arranged on a 3×3 grid, producing a rigid, modular aesthetic with a stark, dystopian character that places it firmly in the display category.
