Designed by Peter Bushuev under the NAUM Type banner and released in 2020, Strikt ships across two subfamilies – standard and Plus – spanning Hairline to Extra Black via a variable weight axis. The Plus variant adds a harder sci-fi and techno character, enabling seamless dot-grid transitions between glyphs. Best suited to motion graphics, posters and experimental identities; its 88-glyph character set and strict modular construction rule out text setting.
Classification
Built entirely on a 3x3 grid; every stroke derived from the same square unit. Two variable axes: weight and animation. The animation axis morphs glyphs into dot arrays, making this as much a motion tool as a typeface. Very limited character set (88 glyphs). Designed for display and kinetic use only – unsuitable for text setting.
