A geometric sans built from ideas left over from Roobert, Saans and Haffer, in proportional, SemiMono and Mono families of seven weights with italics.
About
Cassette collects letterform decisions Displaay explored and set aside during other projects, so it carries the geometric sense of its siblings while parting from them in the details. Early sketches from 2016 show the overlap with Roobert, most clearly in the 'a' and 'Q'. Three families (proportional, SemiMono and Mono) run from Thin to Heavy with italics, joined in a variable font with weight, slant and mono axes.
Classification
Cassette is a geometric sans-serif drawn from rejected or unused design principles developed during the creation of Saans, Roobert and Haffer, placing it firmly in the geometric sans tradition shared by those sibling typefaces.
