Wagon Display Serif specimen from Dirty Line Studio

A contemporary display serif from Dirty Line Studio with sharp triangular serifs and high stroke contrast, spanning nine weights from Thin to Black with matching italics.

About

Wagon pairs wedge-shaped serifs with strong stroke contrast to produce a display face that reads as both elegant and assertive. The nine-weight family, each with a matching italic, gives decent range across branding, poster and editorial work. Glyph coverage reaches 415 characters across 87 languages – solid for a commercial display face, though the dancing-baseline quality of the italic positions it more firmly in lifestyle branding than serious editorial.

Classification

Contemporary display serif built around sharp triangular (wedge) serifs with strong stroke contrast and a vertical stress axis. The italic introduces a calligraphic liveliness absent from the upright. Letterforms are assertive and slightly idiosyncratic – well-suited to headline and branding contexts but not neutral enough for text use.
