Scalter spans a variable axis from serif to sans across five widths – condensed through expanded – producing 40+ styles from a single design concept rooted in mid-century American signage. The letterforms are deliberately strong and high-contrast, which holds up well at display sizes and in bold branding contexts. The variable serif-to-sans interpolation is its most interesting technical feature; beyond that it sits comfortably within commercial retro display territory without redefining it.
