Dx Wideground
Dirty Line Studio · Hendra Maulia, Aulia Rahman · 2026

A variable-width display sans covering nine steps from ultra condensed to ultra expanded, with clean geometry and broad language support aimed at headline and poster work.
About
Dx Wideground runs a single variable width axis across nine static instances, keeping consistent geometric character from ultra condensed to ultra expanded. OpenType features – discretionary ligatures, stylistic alternates, swash and two stylistic sets – give designers some room to tune the type beyond the obvious width play. It is a competent workhorse for branding, editorial headlines and large-scale poster work, though it does not bring anything that sets it apart from the broader field of variable display sans-serifs.
Classification
Geometric-leaning display sans with a variable width axis spanning nine steps from Ultra Condensed to Ultra Expanded. Clean, neutral letterforms with a confident upright stance, built for large-scale use. No weight axis – width is the sole variable dimension.
