Dx Restcal follows a modernist geometric framework, with clean upright letterforms that carry a restrained vintage edge without committing to overt retro styling. The family spans nine weights from Thin to Black, supports 100+ languages, and includes stylistic sets, ligatures and discretionary alternates via OpenType. A functional all-rounder for branding and digital work, though the design territory – geometric warmth, modernist bones – is well-trodden.
Classification
Contemporary geometric grotesk drawing on modernist construction principles with a subtle retro softness. Clean, structured letterforms with an understated vintage edge – closer to the Futura/Nunito corner of the geometric sans spectrum than to the cool neutrality of a Neo-Grotesque. Nine upright weights only; no italics in the current release.
