Steven Skaggs's working uncial, with a lowercase feel, a humanist italic and a matching Roman.
About
Rieven Uncial borrows from the true uncial but adds ascenders and descenders so it can carry text, and its italic follows the cursive of the 15th-century humanist scribes. Rieven Roman shares many glyphs with the uncial while dropping its distinctive forms, for settings that need something more familiar. Rieven Ornaments adds over 180 symbols, circled numbers and arrows; Rieven Uncial won a Type Directors Club certificate in 2010.
Classification
An uncial-based family that keeps a lowercase feel with ascenders and descenders, partnered by an italic after the 15th-century humanist cursive. A Roman version derived from the uncial drops its uncial forms for more familiar text setting.
